Summertime Activities
Today be sorted all of his letter magnets by color and then wrote the on the refrigerator with dry erase markers. I don’t care that it is print instead of cursive. I just love that he did it! It was entirely his idea. I didn’t even realize what he was doing until he was almost done. He also said the sound of each letter as he was working with them. At one point he called out to me while pointing at the k – “mommy, this is the ‘other’ /c/!”
Earlier in the day, DJ was making designs with the shapes and then decided to draw his patterns. As is always the case with him, the design had an intricate story behind it, something about a guy with injured legs so he had to be in a wheelchair but could still talk. He was quite annoyed that he couldn’t draw the eyes and ears on the paper because they were white and white pencil doesn’t work on white paper.
Oh … We went bowling for Father’s Day. Is it too embarrassing to admit my 4yo scored better than I did by 20 points on both games! Ack!
